I was one of the founding members of the Fort MacArthur Museum Association, the publisher of the first edition of Rings. When the first edition sold out, the authors granted me the rights to publish the second edition.
When I retired from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office Bureau of Investigation and moved to Bodega Bay, some sixty miles north of San Francisco, I discovered there was a large hole in Bodega Head - known locally, as The Hole in the Head. The Hole in the Head is one of the most visible reminders of Pacific Gas & Electric's ill-advised attempt to build an “Atomic Park” nearly on top of the San Andreas earthquake fault that runs out to sea through Bodega Head.
Things tend to move slowly up here on the North Coast. I'm retired and am involved with the Coast Defense Study Group as well as volunteering at Battery Clarence P. Townsley in the Marin Headlands, so watch for new titles to appear periodically over the next several years.
